University of Nairobi 59th Graduation Ceremony Date and Schedule – 2018
COLLEGES OF AGRICULTURE & VETERINARY SCIENCES, ARCHITECTURE & ENGINEERING, BIOLOGICAL & PHYSICAL SCIENCES, EDUCATION & EXTERNAL STUDIES AND ODeL CAMPUS
The University of Nairobi wishes to inform all students from the above colleges who qualified for the award of various degrees and diplomas at the end of last academic year (2017/2018) and members of the public, that the 59th Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 commencing at 8.00 a.m. at the Chancellor’s Court next to Central Catering Unit, Main Campus. The following is pertinent information:
CLEARANCE OF FEES AND ORDER OF NAMES:
Only those who will have completed paying the fees due to the University by Tuesday August 14, 2018 will be allowed to graduate. ALL graduands are advised to confirm the order of their name as it will appear in the graduation list with their respective Deans/Directors.
Each graduand will be required to obtain a clearance certificate from the relevant College Registrar upon clearance with the respective Department/Faculty/Institute/School/Centre, Library, Halls of Residence, Games Department, Finance and pay a compulsory Graduation/Convocation fee of Kshs. 1,000/=.
HIRE OR PURCHASE OF ACADEMIC ATTIRE
The academic attire will be available for hire between Monday, September 3, 2018 to Thursday, September 13, 2018 from the respective College Registrars for Diploma, Bachelors, PGD and Masters graduands and from the Deputy Registrar, Central Examinations Centre for PhD graduands at a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 4,000/= per set. Those intending to purchase the academic attire should contact the Deputy Registrar, Central Examinations Centre, Chiromo Campus for details. The hired academic attire must be returned to the respective offices by Friday, September 28, 2018 to avoid being surcharged.
The rehearsal is an integral part of the Graduation Ceremony. All Graduands intending to participate in the ceremony must attend the rehearsal on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 10.00 a.m. at the Chancellor’s Court next to the Central Catering Unit, Main Campus.
(i) While hiring or purchasing the Academic Dress, each graduand will be issued with two invitation cards for two guests. Persons without invitation cards will not be allowed into the Chancellor’s Court on the Graduation Day.
Children are not allowed.

Graduands and invited guests are advised to arrive early on the Graduation day and be seated by 7.00 a.m.
