Tharaka Nithi County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following positions as per Article 176 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and the County Government Act no. 17.

County Administrator Job Responsibilities

  • Ensuring service delivery in their area of jurisdiction
  • Facilitating mobilization and ensuring prudent use of resources
  • Facilitating citizens participation in development of policies, plans and delivery of services in their area of jurisdiction
  • Facilitating inter and Intra governmental relations and conflict resolution
  • Overseeing custody of government assets in their area of jurisdiction
  • Ensuring compliance with national values and principles of governance
  • Ensuring compliance with legal, statutory and regulatory requirements in their area of jurisdiction
  • Identifying development projects in their area of jurisdiction
  • Disseminating information to the public and providing linkage between County Office and the Community

Requirement for the County Administrator Job

  • Served in the grade of Assistant Director Administration Services or Deputy Sub – County Administrator for a minimum period of three (3) years or a comparable and relevant position in public Service
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Community Development or any other Social Science degree from a recognized institution
  • Advanced diploma in public administration or equivalent from a recognized institution
  • Demonstrated managerial, administrative and professional competence and results
