Brief Role Description: Monitoring and maintaining the computer systems including dealing directly with staff who have technical issues.

Responsibilities for the Assistant IT Support Job

  • Provide first line in-house and off-site technical support including incident/problem identification, resolution, and
  • escalation to the office and retail shops
  • Perform installation, administration, maintenance, and operation of group network, servers, POS, database, including
  • configuring and maintaining desktop and laptop PCS and peripherals such as printers
  • Installing and configuring application and operating system software and upgrades
  • Remove old equipment and performing data migration to new machines.
  • Diagnose and solving hardware/software faults
  • Log employee queries, including analysing call logs to spot trends and underlying issues
  • Work with external vendors on system implementation
  • Work with internal and external parties to resolve technical issues
  • Provide computer operation support including data backup, restoration, IT facility administration, installation, and
  • configuration of PCs and office equipment
  • Research, analyse, plan, design, and handle technical tasks, such as product evaluation, system rollout, upgrade,
  • migration, optimization, hardening, re-engineering, automation and change control.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional
  • publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Accomplish the result by performing the duty.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post as agreed by Head of IT

Assistant IT Support Job Qualifications

  • Diploma in Computer Studies or Information Technology
  • At least 3 years’ experience in IT support
  • Experienced managing the IT support of retail stores
  • Experience in a busy retail/face to face customer
  • service environment
  • Previous experience of working in a busy pharmacy
  • Experienced managing the IT support of retail stores
  • Strong knowledge of POS and attendance systems is must
  • Hands-on experience in MS Windows and NAS, Firewall,
  • Network Security, Active Directory, VPN, and mobile
  • device support (IOS, window Phone, Android), Mac OS
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Strong problem solving skills and able to work in a fastpaced
  • environment under pressure
  • Able to work after office hour (if necessary)
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong Reporting skills
  • Deadline-oriented, Good time management skills
  • Able to deal with confidential information and follow set processes

Key Internal & External Clients:

  • Patients / customers, Pharmacy Manager, Store team, Head Office Colleagues GP’s/ nurses, Drug & Beauty reps
