Maersk Line are looking for a dynamic Intermodal Coordinator in Mombasa to supervise a team of 4 people and coordinate operations. He/she will hold a central position to ensure efficient and cost-effective physical delivery operations for which effective communication and coordination with all external and internal stakeholders are critical. This calls for a strong mindset of pro-activity, close follow up and monitoring on the day-to-day operations.

Show More Key responsibilities

He/she also is accountable for driving intermodal performance & commercial orientation / awareness of the team with customer care behaviour, coaching the team and ensuring Process Support Management.
-He/she is also accountable on contract management, vendor performance monitoring, process improvement, assisting the Intermodal Manager.
-The Intermodal coordinator ensures proper invoice control & payment processing for all vendors.
-Lead the team and meetings
-Intermodal operation daily execution
-Supervise the planning and execution process of import and export deliveries for operational efficiency and on-time delivery for customers.
-Provide weekly and monthly OTD performance reporting.
-Ensure 100% cost recovery is done through cost control and CS teams
-Beat competitor Cost level through cost leadership and transparency
-Maximize average profit margin on Intermodal trucking activity via cost driven choices of best vendor.
-Intermodal Volume Allocation is done based on Procurement Team guidelines
-Monitor and ensure Vendors payments are done timely and free of errors
-Coordinate with LOCPROC to ensure proper vendor setup is available for TBL products
-Ensure all MEPC updates are done timely in coordination with LOCPROC / PCM

-5+ years of relevant experience in International Shipping, transportation, supply chain or Logistics management industries
– Strong leadership ability. Previous Leader of Others experience is essential
