Corporate Staffing Services Job Vacancy 2018

Our client is an established real estate company dealing with both residential and commercial properties. They seek to hire a maintenance manager to oversee the installation, repair and upkeep of properties including machines, mechanical systems, buildings and other structures.

Responsibilities for the Maintenance Manager Job

  • Receives and completes work orders for corrective repair work on a variety of building physical structures, equipment, and system components in a timely manner as assigned
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance and repair of real estate infrastructures including machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems
  • Order necessary materials in order to complete all required repairs
  • Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs
  • Co-ordinate cleaning and landscaping operations
  • Administer contracts for the provision of supplies and services
  • Plan and manage the properties’ maintenance budget
  • Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff
  • Handling the training and development needs of new hires
  • Assessing risks within the property
  • Provide regular updates on on-going construction projects and equipment maintenance
  • Project managing all significant property maintenance, renovation or enhancement works – technical specifications (including drawings), Bills of Quantities, Tendering, Contracts Review, Supervision of works, Assessment/Measurement of progress and recommendations on related payments and communications to all stakeholders

Maintenance Manager Job Qualifications

  • At least a Diploma in Building/Construction or related field
  • At least 3 years’ experience in similar role and also construction projects
  • A competent use of design software such as AutoCad
  • Technical know-how in handling plumbing, woodwork, electrical and welding tasks
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and / or supervisor
  • Ability to supervise a variety of personnel
  • Project Management Skills
  • Previous experience in property management / site supervision will be added advantage
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize duties, meet multiple deadlines and works as a team member
  • Procurement and contract management skills
  • Recognizes and resolves problems quickly and efficiently
