A manufacturing company in Kisumu seeks to employ a Warehouse Coordinator responsible for maintaining receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing programs, operational and personnel policies and procedures.

Warehouse Coordinator Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for;

  • Coordinating all the activities of the warehouse
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
  • Prepare annual budget
  • Ensure availability of raw materials
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
  • Plan work rosters, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
  • Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc.)
  • Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided

Qualifications for the Warehouse Coordinator Job

  • Degree/ Diploma in Purchase and Supply
  • 5 years’ experience in supervising/coordinating a warehouse
  • Good knowledge of computing and ERP
  • Proven work experience as a warehouse coordinator/supervisor with excellent managerial, organization and planning skills
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
  • Good analytical ,Strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, team player and result oriented
